Erased

This series delves into the paradox of removal as creation, exploring the power of erasure within the realm of archival photography.

By selecting and removing myself from family snapshots I envision a family without me, contemplating the significance of absence and the resonance I hold within my family’s collective memory.

In this process of disappearance, I aim to transcend the boundaries of time and space, offering a new perspective on the archival image and its capacity to evoke emotions, provoke thought, and challenge perception.
